55 Uplifting Feeling Low Quotes to Inspire Inner Strength

Why do I need feeling low quotes? I’ll share a quick story.

When Alma (which isn’t her real name) decided to discover her Yes! in life, she remembered what it felt like to be light as a feather floating on the breeze. She once saw the big picture and knew where she was going. She felt elevated and could accomplish anything

But recent lay-offs at a company she loved left her mind feeling stuck in negative thoughts— even though they hadn’t cut her job yet and probably wouldn’t. She was borrowing troubles from the future. It was sapping her strength. Even going for a walk or preparing a healthy meal was a challenge.

Her mind and her body resonated with it. She could feel it in her bones!

I told her when I feel emotionally drained, I get physically tired because the mind and body experience everything together.

There is no separation. It impacts everything!—work, relationships, enjoyment of life, mental health, physical health.

I support my mind and body to get out of that rut. I take care of my body by making sure I’m getting enough exercise and nourishing it (just to start) even when it’s hard to get motivated. I reject all the “No’s” and reasons I can’t. I find my Yes!

I support my mind by strengthening my human relationships and also filling my mind with positive ideas. Eventually, the positive will take over.

So, it’s always been vital to keep a little treasure chest of “feeling low” quotes I can read (or listen to) to put the wind back in my sails.

I’m not pretending bad things don’t happen. God knows they do. It’s okay to feel however I feel right now.

But I choose to focus on where I have the power to change my circumstances and my mindset.

Feeling low quotes like these remind me of that power.

Create Your Yes! When Feeling Low

Alma chose some of these quotes. But she also sought out her own quotes to remind her of her power to shape her thoughts and her reality. Reading through them became a part of her daily ritual. They pushed her to do more good things for her body and mind.

Together, we focused on improving her physical and mental state through nutrition, physical fitness, and a Yes! focus. Today, the company Alma works for is back on solid ground, and she still works there. Letting go of all that worry and sadness helped her be part of the solution at work and in life.

When I’m feeling low mentally, it drags my body down with it. And vice versa. I can’t ignore troubles. But I can choose how I see and respond to them.

Uplifting quotes can lift my spirits just enough that I can do the rest.

If these “feeling low” quotes don’t inspire you, I encourage you to store up your treasure chest you can return to when you need help finding your Yes!
